A consultant's life.

So here I am in the fourth week of my new job...fatting up my purse without doing anything...sitting here idling around...waiting for a new job oppurtunity...
here is my daily schedule:

8:30 reach office

8:30-9:30 read TOI back page to fron page word to word...

9:30- 11.00 surf the net, chk out the stock market (Yes thats a new addiction)

11:00 - 12:30 my teammates reach office, talk talk and talk...on mundane things like family etc...(Gone are the days of intelligent talks)

12:30 1:00 lunch alone, or listen to my peers talks abt his mother (mind you mother not GF or fiance)

1:00 3:00 pretend to browse docs when actually i am on ICICI direct... or refreshing my tech skills for other interviews ;)

3:00 - 5.30 more talking mail chking,check out if i left anyting in TOI, Solve sudoku...attend some weird application session...BECOZ i am supposed to understand the whole damn thing...without any id's permissions to access those freaking sites..

In between my new PM catches up with me and tries to flatter me with "I will be the next best thing to him"...(despite that we both knw i can leave anytime at will)
and i should get above the technology jargon and try to come at Architect level...read SOA and bla bla bla....
Last time he told me this...i bluntly asked does that mean i wont be required to work on MF anymore? he was red in face and retorted no you would need to work on MF as well but.... (ya ya i knw you want to keep me busy so that i do not meddle with your innocent programmer minds) is the whole "MANagerKIND" like this with foolish talk...

Also on a casual evaluation of pay pakgs i have found i am the highest paid one.. not that money gives me joy but....it gives immense satisfaction that i earn more than that Chauvinist moron sitting next to me... and finally that moron knows that I know more than he does...like designing complete applicaitons, debugging better without tools and and driving a car... yippppeee
why on earth GOD keeps on one such person in my life????

I guess to keep me in touch with reality.... isnt it?
Well on other note..this is the only time i am guiltless for earning without working...becauz..90% of the junta does bullshitting 80% of the time everyday...
ppl go to gym do chat session on gtalk...play TT all on comapnies time...so why bother when the manager doesnt...
and since max exp level here in "working ppl" is 5 yrs i dont give a damn about competition...
one more fun thing here is every day ppl come late 11.00 or 12.00...go extremely late 10.00 - 11.00pm and the next day waste 2 hours telling everyone how late they went...how the dinner was and how bad there helath is.... isnt it fun to work with newbies... :D
